In our second episode, we travel to 19th century New Zealand and learn about women's suffrage shepherdess: Kate Sheppard! This episode we take a look at the intersection between the women's rights and civil right's movements of the U.S.A, honoring the suffragettes who had to overcome not only sexist, but economic, and racial discrimination as well. Valkyrie General & Artistic Director Karen Hunt guides us through the timeline of American suffrage from the late 1700s to the 2000s.
